Victoria Day Weekend

The daffodils are still here, but not for long! Daffodils hate the heat and often with soaring temperatures, daffodils just won’t bloom.

We also have violets and forget me nots as well as homemade wild violet jelly made from purple or purple and white violets for sale. These flowers make delicate little posies.

With the cold spring we have had my early vegetables are still growing but peas, spinach, lettuce and radishes are in the ground and I have planted out my potatoes.

I have yet to plant out my zinnias or dahlias since they hate being cold. But I would rather wait and have some amazing blooms than plant out too early and have scrawny plants.

Have a wonderful long weekend everyone!
